Local considerations
Havelis and palace hotels have thick stone walls, painted ceilings and carved facades where drilling is restricted or simply unwelcome. We plan cable routes through existing service paths, use slim surface conduit in matching colours, and consider wireless links between distant wings. Camera bodies are chosen to sit discreetly so they do not spoil the look guests come for.
From April to June, Jaipur sees intense heat and dust-laden winds. Outdoor cameras need sunshields and sealed housings, and rooftop or courtyard mounts should avoid direct afternoon sun on the lens. Recorders do best in a cool, ventilated cabinet away from dust. Preventive visits before and after the summer catch dust build-up and failing power adaptors early.
Cameras alone record a break-in; an intrusion alarm helps interrupt one. For showrooms we usually suggest door contacts and motion sensors on the strongroom and shutters, armed when the shop closes, with the recorder itself kept in a locked, concealed spot so it cannot be removed along with the evidence.

Only the people you authorise. We create separate user accounts on the NVR, for example owner, manager and security staff, each with defined rights to live view, playback or export. Default passwords are changed at handover, and export rights are usually kept to one or two trusted people.
We aim to. The survey identifies existing ducts, service shafts and false ceilings we can use, and anywhere drilling would be visible or restricted. Proposed cable routes and camera positions are shared with the property team for approval before work starts, so any heritage restrictions are respected from the outset.
