Structured cabling & networking in Chennai
Chennai's industrial belt to the west and south-west of the city, through Ambattur, Sriperumbudur, Oragadam and towards Maraimalai Nagar, holds automotive, component and electronics plants on large plots. Networking there is a question of distance: security gates, administration blocks, production halls, warehouses and canteens can be hundreds of metres apart. A fibre backbone with switches in each building, laid out on the plot plan before routes are finalised, is the foundation we build from.
Closer to the coast, the IT corridor along Old Mahabalipuram Road, Taramani and Guindy is full of tech-park floors that need dense, well-documented LANs, while hospitals across the city need dependable coverage across wards, theatres and diagnostics. All of it has to cope with heat, humidity and a north-east monsoon that can flood basements, which is why we advise against putting a comms rack at the lowest level of a building if a higher room is available.

Local considerations
Copper Ethernet is limited to about 100 metres per run, and long runs beside motors and welding lines pick up interference. For plant networks we use single-mode or multimode fibre between buildings, depending on distance, with outdoor-rated cable in conduit or on trays, and terminate it in labelled enclosures so maintenance teams can trace every link.
Chennai's humidity corrodes unprotected connectors and its heat shortens UPS battery life. Network racks go into air-conditioned rooms or closed, ventilated enclosures, raised off the floor in areas prone to water ingress. Battery health and enclosure cleanliness are then checked on AMC preventive visits, with any replacement batteries quoted separately under our non-comprehensive terms.
Chennai's hospitals draw patients from across India and abroad, and their networks carry admissions, pharmacy, imaging and CCTV traffic side by side. We separate clinical, administrative, guest and surveillance traffic, plan Wi-Fi for wards and corridors with thick walls, and route cabling so that work in sensitive areas can be scheduled with the hospital's facilities team.

FAQ
Yes, over your internet or leased-line connections. We configure routers or firewalls at each end for an encrypted site-to-site VPN, align IP addressing between the sites and document the setup. The circuits themselves are provided by your telecom operator; we can help specify what to order.
Yes. Our local partner in Chennai carries out surveys, installation and preventive maintenance. We do not have a Chennai office. The visit schedule for your site is agreed and written into the quotation or AMC contract.
A plot plan or sketch showing buildings and distances, the number of network points and cameras in each building, where the main server or comms rack sits, any existing fibre, and site safety or access rules. Photos of cable routes and the planned rack location also help.
